Sabudana khichdi




Ingredients
1 cup sabudana(big ones)
1 small cup roasted crushed groundnuts
1 potato cut in to fine cubes
1 cup chopped cabbage
1 tsp Ginger grated
2 green chillis chopped
Hing a pinch
1 lemon
1 tsp sugar
salt to taste
1 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp each mustard & cumin seeds
Oil
curry leaves
Coriander leaves chopped
Method:
Soak sabu dana for 30 min.Wash nicely under running water .Drain water completely and leave for 1 hours. Take a kadai. Heat oil/ ghee. Add cumin/ mustard seeds.when it starts crackling add hing, curry leaves & green chillies. Add ginger .Add potatos & cabbages.stir for some time. When the potatoes & cabbages are almost done add sabudana & peanuts mix well. Add salt, sugar, chillipowder  and mix well. Keep  on simmer for 10 to 15 minutes till sabudana is cooked. Sabudana will change colour once it is cooked.
Remove from fire and serve hot garnished with corinder leaves , lemon juice and grated coconut (optional ).
