Gajar Halwa/ Carrot Halwa









Ingredients 

1/2 kg Carrots
1 litre Milk
2 teaspoon Cardamom powder
3 tablespoons desi Ghee
1 tablespoons fried  Raisins
2 tablespoons cashews/ Almonds
1 cup Sugar or as per your taste


Method:

Grate the carrots. Soak. Blanch and chop the nuts. 




Put pan on gas, heat ghee, add the grated carrots. Cook for 10-15 minutes.
Add the milk. Cook on a low flame for 15-20min stirring occasionally. Add sugar, mix well and cook till the sugar has dissolved and all the milk has been absorbed. 



Add the  cardamoms powder. Mix well. Remove the gajar halwa from gas .Garnish with raisins , almonds / cashews.
