This is a deep-fried southindian snacks. If U have leftover dosa batter in your fridge..This is the best snacks to make....just add some chopped onion, green chilli, coriander leaves to it & deep fry it..:) Njoy these hot snacks in the chilly evenings with a cup of hot tea or coffee.
Ingredients:
1cup urad dal
2 cups rice
2 tblsp soaked channa dal
2 medium size onion chopped
2 green chillis Chopped
Chopped coriander leaves- 1tblsp
Grated ginger- 1tsp
Oil for deep frying
Salt to taste
Method:
Soak the urad dal & rice for 4-5 hours. Then grind them & make a smooth batter. Keep the batter for 5-6 hours for fermentation.
If the batter is watery u can add 1-2 tblsp of maida/ rava/ idli rava/ rice flr (u can add any of them).
Then add the chopped onion, grated ginger, green chilli & coriander leaves to it. Add the soaked channa dal, salt.
Mix well.Heat oil in a heavy bottom pan. Drop a tbsp of batter in to the oil & deep fry them in a medium flame till they turns crispy & golden brown. remove on a tissue paper to leave excess oil. Serve hot with chutney or pickles. njoyyyyyy.....
