Rice kheer (chaula khiri)






Ingredients:
 1/4th cup basmati rice
300ml milk
1 bay leaf
1 tsp cardamom powder
2 tbsp almonds (blanched silvered)
½ cup tbsp cashews & raisins fried
Sugar as desired

Method:
Wash the rice properly & drain water. keep the rice for half an hour.
Heat a pan.Put the rice , bay leaf & milk  in a pan, bring to boil and simmer gently until the rice is soft and the grains are starting to break up. Add the sugar and stir until completely dissolved.  Add almonds, cardamom powder, cashews and raisins and simmer for 3-4 minutes.  Kheer is ready to serve. serve chilled.
