Methi n Yellow Moong Dal Fry


Fresh methi  Leaves 1 cup (chopped)
Moong Dal 1/2 Cup
Green Chiles 2
Turmeric Powder a big Pinch
Salt as per the taste
Sugar -1 tsp (Optional)
Mustard Seeds 1/4 tsp
Red chillies- 2 nos
Cumin Seeds 1/4 tsp
Urad Dal 1/4 tsp
Oil 2 tsps
Fresh coriander leaves- 1tblsp
Hing 1pinch
Curry leaves- 3-4
Soak the dal for 15 min. & keep it aside. Strain the soaked moong dal and keep aside. Boil the moong dal till 50% done) then drain all the water from daal.
Heat oil in a skillet add red chillies, hing  & mustard & cumin seeds when it splutters add urad daal , green chillies & curry leaves . add chopped methi leaves & Fry for few minutes till leaves are fried, add  turmeric powder.Fry for a minute, add salt & sugar. saut√© for a minute then add the drained not overly cooked  yellow moong dal. Stir well, add chopped cilantro and mix well. Switch off the flame & now enjoy hot with rice.
