Banana Walnut Cake..

1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup powder sugar
4 tablespoons butter (room tempr)
2 large egg - beaten lightly- room temperature
¼  tsp baking soda
¼ tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4th cup chopped walnuts
2 large ripe banana mashed


  • Grease with butter & flour the sides of a loaf pan or u can use round or square pan and line the base with parchment paper.
  • Whisk butter with sugar till light & fluffy. Add in beaten eggs and vanilla essence and give a quick whisk. Add mashed bananas and beat till smooth.  Fold in flour and baking powder & soda.
  • Add chopped walnuts; reserve some for sprinkling on top. Mix with spatula and pour batter into prepared cake pan. Sprinkle the remaining walnuts on top. 
  • Bake in preheated oven at 180 degree C  for about 40 - 45 mins. Leave the cake to cool in the pan for at least 5-10 min. Unmould & transfer to wire rack to cool completely.
