Yummy French fries

5 large potatoes, peeled, cut into strips
Vegetable Oil for deep frying
1 cup all-purpose flour
Water as needed
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1 teaspoon onion salt

Slice potatoes into French fries, and place into cold water so they won't turn brown while you prepare the oil.
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. While the oil is heating, sift the flour, garlic salt, onion salt,  salt into a large bowl.
Gradually stir in enough water so that the mixture can be drizzled from a spoon.
Dip potato slices into the batter one at a time, and place in the hot oil so they are not touching at first.
The fries must be placed into the skillet one at a time, or they will clump together.
Fry until golden brown and crispy.
Remove and drain on paper towels. Place potato strips in a single layer in deep fry basket; fry in hot oil for about 4 minutes, or until golden brown and tender.
Drain on paper towels & serve with tomato sauce.
For baked french fries:

Turn oven on to grill, if you don't have a grill option, preheat oven to 400F (200C),
Apply  oil on casserole or oven tray .Place the previously done potatoes in casserole, spread oil and mix to distribute oil evenly.
Place casserole on highest rack just under the grill. Stir often as soon as potatoes begin to brown.
Remove from oven, let cool before serving.
